Dear Families of BBP,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as your new District-Wide Elementary Assistant Principal with a dedicated focus on Special Education, student accommodations and Central Registration. My name is Katy Ann Tirado and I bring 17 years of experience in education, with a deep-rooted passion for fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment. 14 out of the 17 years have been spent in Blue Point Elementary School as a Special Education teacher. It is an honor to continue to work alongside such passionate educators, supportive families, and eager students at BBP where every individual is valued and celebrated.

With a background deeply rooted in special education, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all our students. My goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of their unique needs, receives the highest quality education and the support necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As we embark on this journey together, I invite you to share your ideas, concerns, and aspirations for our schools. Your insights are invaluable in shaping our educational landscape and ensuring that we meet the needs of all our students.

I am honored to be a part of the BBP community, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.

Warmly,

Katy Ann Tirado

Elementary Assistant Principal
