Greetings James Wilson Young Family,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as Assistant Principal of James Wilson Young Middle School. It has always been an honor to be a part of the Bayport-Blue Point educational community, and I look forward to continuing that partnership in this new role.

I began as a classroom teacher at James Wilson Young Middle School, over fifteen years ago, working with seventh-grade students. During this time, I developed a passion for fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment that empowers each student.

My commitment to education led me to pursue an Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership, which provided me with a strong foundation in school administration. At that time, I transitioned to Bayport-Blue Point High School and had the privilege of serving as the Bayport-Blue Point K-12 Chairperson for English Language Arts before returning to James Wilson Young to serve as Dean of Students. In each of these roles, I have worked alongside an amazing team of teachers and administrators to enhance the educational experience for our students.

A strong school community is built upon open communication, collaboration, and a focus on the academic and social-emotional growth and well-being of students. I am devoted to working with our talented staff, supportive families, and, most importantly, our incredible students to continue the tradition of excellence that James Wilson Young Middle School is known for.

As your Assistant Principal, I am here to support you, whether it's helping to address concerns, enhancing curriculum, or fostering a positive and safe learning environment.
