Dear Middle School Parents and Students,

We are all thankful to be a part of the Bayport-Blue Point community. There is so much that we can take pride in, but it is the way that people are so willing to help others that truly stands out. This has always been an outstanding characteristic of the Bayport-Blue Point community. What is even more impressive is that the characteristic of helping others is not lost on the middle school students. With this in mind, I do feel it is important to recognize those who give back to our community.

The community service program is simple. Students need to complete the Community Service Verification form, have it signed by the person supervising the activity, and submit it to the Main Office, or email it to Ms. Asta, Principal's Secretary (jasta@bbpschools.org). The form can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.

Students must complete a minimum of ten hours of community service to receive recognition, and can begin accumulating hours for the school year on July 1st preceding the beginning of school. The Main Office will keep track of the total hours for a student throughout the school year. The deadline for submission for all forms at the end of the school year is June 1st.

While we do understand that people don’t perform community service for the accolades, we do feel it is important to encourage and recognize our students for their efforts. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at jandruszkiewicz@bbpschools.org.
